Tori – A Bit of Darkness - 48

Tamzin took the talisman from the fairy god mother. It began to glow and resonate in her hand. “But, how is this going to help me?” as Tamzin looked up the god mother was gone. “I have never been anywhere done anything. Now I am supposed to take this thing and find something. I don’t even know what that something is! Ok you silly thing show me where we are supposed to go.” As Tamzin turned the talisman over in her hands, she notices it glowed faintly in her left hand. She decided to hold it at arms length in the westward direction it glowed so brightly Tamzin shielded her eyes. “Well, I guess this is the way you want me to go.” And this is how Tamzin’s adventure begins…

The fairies tried to spin their magic, the sphere rose again and the mists started to surround the group. “I think its working,” Violet whispered. “Let’s try it,” suggested Xylia. Violet walked to the edge of the group and tried to pass through the barrier that held them at the gala. She walked confidently but cautiously just as it appeared that she had made it through the barrier she bounced back. Violet landed with a hard thump. “What happened we did everything we were supposed to do why didn’t it work?” Violet whined. The group mumbled amongst themselves. They didn’t notice another fairy walk within the mists. The quiet fairy moved stealthily toward the sphere. The others were unaware when she touched the sphere and it took on a darker hue. “Ahem, excuse me…” the newcomer said. The fairies still ignored her; she tried again louder this time. “EXCUSE ME!” Everyone stopped and looked at the lovely dark fairy standing by the sphere. “Who?...What?” the fairies exclaimed. “Just try it now I think you will find that you can leave now. Oh, how rude, I am TORI” The fairy held out her slender hand toward Tamzin. The rest just stared at her. “You, had better hurry the sphere won’t hold the charge for much longer.” “Why, should we trust you?” they questioned. “Because, I was sent here to help. Fine if you don’t trust me I will show you.” And Tori walked through the mists and out of the barrier. The mists started to lighten and the group decided it was either now or never. The group passed through the barrier and were finally back in the swamp. They looked at Tori and she simply shrugged her shoulders and said, “All you needed was a little bit of darkness.”
