Blossom–A Wonderful Gift -75
1st newborn for sale

I have a special announcement to make! I am a new aunt, Emily Diane was born12:58 am Sunday, March 13th , to my brother, Ken and his wife of 10 yrs, Candice. When I received her beautiful photos I was inspired. She is simply adorable (I am biased I am sure!) I put down my fairy for this week and picked up a new piece of clay. I have only done a few toddlers before this and never attempted a newborn! I was surprised at how easily she seemed to flow from my fingers. It was truly a muse from God on my shoulder. I hope you find her as enchanting as I do.

A woman went into her garden where she spent most of her days with her passion of flowers. She lived a quiet life with her loving husband, took good care of them but she seemed to notice the quietness more and more each day. They lived a humble life enjoying many activities together; her husband did not enjoy her love of plants. She didn’t mind though, it was her sanctuary, her place of peace. Though she wondered what life would be like with the sound of “mommy” coming from a child’s mouth. The couple knew that they were not destined to have children of their own and each day it began to weigh just a bit heavier on her heart. On this day she woke with the familiar ache in her heart, she walked out into the garden hoping to distract her mind. Her flowers were in full bloom, lovely yellow, orange, red and purple blossoms with wonderful fragrances filled her vision. She sat down and started to weed her garden and then she heard a small strange sound. It was faint at first and she strained to hear where it was coming from. It was as if a baby was crying from the blooms only a few feet from her. With curiosity building, she moved toward the source. Moving blooms out of the way; she was shocked by what she found. A tiny infant swaddled tightly with what appeared to be tiny wings on her back. She picked up the infant who was clad in blossoms of russet and gold, the tiny child quieted. She soothed the baby and wondered where she came from for it was obvious she was alone. The woman searched in vain trying to find where her mother could be. The child began to cry again apparently hungry since she was sucking her fingers. The woman took the child in, named her Blossom and raised the tiny fae with all the love of any mother.
Blossom is another one-of-a-kind small sculpture and No. 75 from Krina’s Kreations. She is 7.5 inches to the tip of her head to her tiny toes. Blossom is made of polymer clay, each detail is hand crafted by Kris Hamrick without the use of molds. Blossom’s hair is 100% natural mohair; each wispy lock carefully set to frame her face. Blossom is hand painted and sealed with the clay slightly blushed. Many hours went into creating her baby outfit and have been sculpted to her body with many layers to build the beautiful color. You can feel each of her tiny toes and umbilical cord through her swaddling cloth. Each work from Krina’s Kreations comes with a certificate of authenticity including her story and the artist’s signature.
